Dept. of Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology

I am currently a third year undergraduate student majoring in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology at UC Davis. Being a recent transfer student, my path has been a little different than what might be expected. I took time off after high school and ended up working in retail and marketing, volunteering in the community, traveling, backpacking, and eventually studying at my local community college. Thus far, my experience in conservation biology has been mainly with the Sandhill Restoration Project in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where I assisted with endangered insect surveys, seed collection, and seed analysis. I am incredibly passionate about nature and am thrilled to be working on a caribou project with the Post Lab at their long-term field site near Kangerlussuaq, Greenland during the 2024 summer. I eagerly look forward to gaining more experience and can’t wait to see how my skills and interests grow over the course of my time here.
